Choosing where to stay in Paris, especially if it’s your first visit, can be daunting given the size of the city! The various neighborhoods in Paris are called “arrondissement” and are numbered, starting in the center of the city and spiraling outwards. Each arrondissement has its own unique character. Choosing the right neighborhood as your Parisian home base can help make your visit to Paris unforgettable. Whether you prefer the historic charm of Le Marais, the intellectual literary history of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the funky artistic vibe of Montmartre, or the luxury of the Champs-Élysées, Paris has a neighborhood for everyone.
